The secret is out. In the early hours of March 3rd, our daughter gave birth to twin girls by emergency C-section. Thankfully, despite being born at just over 34 weeks, Alexis (4lb 10oz) and Florence (4lb 1oz) are healthy and did not need to go into special care. CoVID restrictions in the UK mean that big sister Alyssa has not yet been able to meet them in person, so video chats are a lifeline. We've been chatting constantly and keeping up-to-date with the daily news. Congratulations to the ... VIEW POST
Itty Bitty Greetings for Itty Bitty Flowers
So my garden remains buried under mounds of snow, although at least we can now get down the drive. Yesterday's dreary grey sky has given way to beautiful clear blue, and if I stay inside I can even imagine it's spring. It's days like these that make me grateful for the flowers in my craft studio. This morning I couldn't resist pulling out the Sale-A-Bration Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (DSP) once again. This time I was drawn to an itty bitty flower design, and for my sentiment? ... Don’t Overlook The Itty Bitty Speech Bubble
While I love having stamp sets that include sentiments, I also like to mix and match. Sometimes what I want to say simply isn't there, and sometimes it is but it's just the wrong size for my design. That's why I like the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set with 32 sentiments for different occasions. There's no dies for this set but I realised all the sentiments fit inside the speech bubble from the Special Day Dies. It was the perfect finish to today's project. CUTE CHARACTERS I began this ... Ornamental Envelopes For Cards Too
Today has been one of those days that started poorly and continued downhill from there. So much later than planned my project is pretty simple although I'm happy with how it turned out. I decided that I should pull out the Ornamental Envelopes Stamp Set and coordinating Envelopes Dies to show they're not just for envelopes. OLIVE BRANCH I began my project with a layer of Very Vanilla Card and an Old Olive ink pad. Then from the Ornamental Envelopes Stamp Set I grabbed the leafy branch ... VIEW POST
Drama With Itty Bitty Greetings
As I sit down to write this blog post we are awaiting the arrival of Hurricane Teddy. With torrential rain and high winds in the forecast there's a good chance that we'll lose power at some point. So with that in mind I created this dramatic gift tag using the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. GOLDEN GREETINGS I began by cutting a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic Black Card for the tag base. Then using the Detailed Trio Punch I added an oval hole at the top. Next I cut a 1/2" x 2-1/2" ... VIEW POST
When In Doubt Add A Pretty Cover
As a papercrafter it's so easy to make everyday things pretty. I'm also very keen to use every scrap of paper and card that I buy. Waste not want not, eh. So when I came across a very boring 1-1/2" x 2" Post-It Note® pad I had the perfect idea. Why not add a quick cover to disguise the sticky notes into a mini book. So that's how I ended up with today's simple Sunday project. QUICK COVER At 1-1/2" x 2", my Post-It Note pad is one of the smallest, if not the smallest one they make. ... VIEW POST
