It's been a busy morning with Stampin' Up! announcing a one-day stamp set sale on Wednesday. Stamp sets rarely go on sale so I plan to check my wish list and take full advantage of the deals. So while I do that, here's a pretty card that I hope gives you an excuse to be creative today. STRIKING PATTERNED PAPER This project began with a very striking pattern from the Magnolia Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. First I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach a ... VIEW POST
Perennial Essence Is Pretty Paper
I love the Perennial Essence 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. It's so pretty and makes creating stunning cards really easy. Stampin' Up! product designer Julie Alusa was inspired by French painter Claude Monet's work and decided to paint her own masterpiece. The painting she created was then used to create the amazing DSP. And while I can't paint like Julie, her work allows me to add a little perennial essence to my projects. PERENNIAL ESSENCE FLORALS I began this project ... VIEW POST
Come To Gather Looking Forward
Today's going to be a busy day for me. Stampin' Up! has completely revamped the website and it looks great, so much fresher. It's not just a cosmetic thing either, it's an entirely new platform which should be much more user friendly. One big change you might notice is that they no longer host Demonstrator blogs. This isn't a huge issue for me as I've had this Papercraft With Me blog going for about 16 months now. What has gone however is all the blog posts I wrote before I moved over to my ... VIEW POST
Fussy-Cut or Colour? Your Choice.
I recently made a card using the Magnolia Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and was complimented on my colouring. I had to admit that the flower was fussy-cut from patterned paper and the colouring was actually done by a Stampin' Up! artist. It seems that just recently I've been using DSP a lot and I'm starting to collect a pile of off-cuts. Never one to waste my craft supplies, it's time to start using up these scraps. FOLDED TAG I found a 3" x 6" piece of Thick Whisper ... VIEW POST
Magnolia Blooms with a little glimmer
Oh my goodness, what a stressful morning I've had. The internet has been cutting in and out for hours and so I'd better make this quick. Today's Simple Sunday project is a striking birthday card with a Glimmer Paper accent. MAGNOLIA LANE I started with this stunning design from the Magnolia Lane 12" x 12" Designed Series Paper (DSP) pack. First I cut a layer and used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach it to a Thick Very Vanilla Card base. Next I cut a 1" strip of the DSP ... VIEW POST
Noble Peacock Colours
I love the way that Stampin' Up! have created 'suites' in their catalogues. Each suite is a collection of products that are all designed to complement each other, and make coordination effortless. One of these suites is Noble Peacock. As with all suites there is a stamp set (Royal Peacock), plus there's also dies, Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments. I have to be honest and say while I like the Royal Peacock Stamp Set and some of the other products, it might not make it into ... VIEW POST
