If you saw my Papercraft With Me Facebook page over the weekend you’ll know that the remnants of Hurricane Lee visited us here in Nova Scotia. As expected we lost power for a time during Saturday and there was nothing to do but ride it out. As well as reading, I spent time in my craft studio. Without power I couldn’t use my Heat Tool, but everything else was available to me. So I decided to create a wedding card while getting the shining gold from paper, ribbon and embellishments. Shining Brightly
While I’ve made a number of different boxes and have easy tutorials on my YouTube channel, I’m not against buying pre-made ones too. In fact when I was in Dollarama recently I found a really nice box. It’s predominantly white, and quite sturdy, What’s more at 4-3/8” x 6-1/4” x 2-1/4” it’s not a bad size either. But what attracted me was the narrow gold foil border on the lid, and using the Shining Brightly Specialty Paper I had an idea to turn that box into something rather special. SHINING ... VIEW POST
