Today is a sad day as it sees the funeral of my husband's elderly aunt who died recently in the UK. Unfortunately with increased COVID restrictions travelling over to pay our respects wasn't a viable option. So we shall have to watch via a video link while other members of the family represent us in person. We have lots of happy memories that will comfort us, but our thoughts today are with her husband of 47 years who has lost his soulmate. So for today's project I wanted to bring you this ... VIEW POST
Snowflakes In Silhouette… Why Not?
On Friday I took delivery of some new products from the Stampin' Up! January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I'm excited to start exploring the what I've received in my pre-order, but first I have a few more Christmas projects to make. While I was putting away my new stuff I found some Christmas/winter stamp sets and dies from the Annual Catalogue. While they're still considered 'current', they've been around a while and are likely to retire in a few months. So I've decided to give them one ... VIEW POST
Tidings Of Christmas Coordination
When you think of Christmas what comes to mind? My earliest memory is putting a stocking at the end of my bed. Back then though we didn't have fancy stockings, they were my Dad's old grey army socks but we didn't mind. Somehow the satsuma, coin, chocolate and small gift all fit so we had something to keep us occupied before breakfast. The stockings in the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set are a bit fancier, but still rekindle those old memories. TAILOR MADE TAG For this project I ... VIEW POST
Delivering Cheer And A Christmas Tree
One of my favourite types of stamp sets is one that allows me to mix and match pieces to create new images. Delivering Cheer is one of those sets and it's a lot of fun. With two sets of legs and three different images with arms it's really quite versatile. Today I decided it was time to show you the Christmas card I made with this set. DELIVERING THE TREE I'd already used the images with the bouquet of flowers and pile of gifts, so that left the tree to use today. For the bottom ... VIEW POST
Cheers With Tidings And Trimmings
Once again my planned project didn't quite turn out as I'd originally planned. This morning I sat down intending to make a Christmas-themed bottle tag. It was inspired by the "Cheers from our home to yours" sentiment from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set. However despite pulling out card in traditional Christmas red and green, things took an entirely different direction. Sometimes that's just how it goes... BOTTLE TAG BASICS My bottle tag started very simply with a 2-3/4" x ... VIEW POST
Card Trimmings Don’t Go To Waste
Even though as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I get 25% discount on all my orders, I still hate to waste my craft materials. But like most crafters the problem is storing materials and then, more importantly, being able to find what I need. For the past 7 years or so I've used the same system for managing my card trimmings so it's been well tested. I save scraps of all shapes and sizes and yet everything still fits into an 8-1/2" x 10" biscuit tin that sits on my desk. The key to ... VIEW POST
