After yesterday's epic blog post I've something much shorter today. It's a simple thank you card created using the retiring All Things Thanks Stamp Set. HANDMADE BACKGROUND This project actually started a couple of weeks ago while I was playing with my Stampin' Spritzers. I had three altogether, each one containing 70% alcohol and 10 drops of reinker. The three colours I chose were Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. I then took a piece of Very Vanilla Card and simply ... VIEW POST
Gingham Apron And A Wooden Spoon
When I went to senior school basic needlework and home economics classes were compulsory for the first year. The very first thing we had to sew was an apron that we would use throughout our cooking lessons. I remember mine was gingham. I also remember those first lessons in the kitchen were very basic, with instruction on which utensils were used for what purpose. You know it's funny what inspires my papercrafting projects. Like today's memory compelling me to include a wooden spoon in this ... VIEW POST
Daisy Pot Project
What do you do when you can't get to sleep, or wake up in the middle of the night? Me? I start thinking about crafting. I may start by thinking of some stamp sets I haven't used for a while. Or I may have a particular technique I want to try. I've found this helps me get back to sleep and if not, it's better than counting sheep or thinking about my tax return. Last night as I drifted back off to sleep I was thinking that I needed something for today's blog. When I woke up this morning, ... VIEW POST
Gingham is back in stock
Lots to do today so I have a really quick project for you. I thought about this a while ago, but then the Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) went onto backorder. I'm delighted to say that the paper is back in stock now, so here's a quick and easy idea for decorating a simple pocket photo album. GINGHAM GALA It all started with the Gingham Gala DSP. The colours used (Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist) are so cheerful ... VIEW POST
Well Written, Well Said
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with word dies. I love the idea of them but haven't bought many. Often they seemed to be missing the centre of the letters and loops, making them look unfinished. So I can't can't tell you how excited I was when I saw the new Well Written Framelits Dies. This 24 piece set includes 14 words in a script font, and they are readable! The words are: baby, birthday, bride, friend, groom, happy, hooray, love, miss, sympathy, thanks, welcome, wishes and you. ... VIEW POST
Gingham Gala Suite Sneak Peek
Happy New Year! I have another sneak peek project for you with a revamp of an old project. Back in November 2017 I created an easel card complete with Post-It® Note pad and calendar. I thought it was time to update it using new products from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. The new Gingham Gala suite is simply perfect for this. SIMPLE EASEL STAND The assembly of the easel stand is quite straightforward. I used a 4-1/4" x 11" Grapefruit Grove Card base, scored and folded on the long ... VIEW POST
