Isn't it funny how you can get really excited about a set of dies but then don't make the most of them. This has happened many times and I'm determined to revisit each and every set. Yesterday while I was making a batch of gift tags I was trying to make each one different. Different images, different colours, different techniques and different sentiments. So when I came to this one I decided my sentiment really needed to stand out, and for that I reached for the Well Written Dies. FIRST ... VIEW POST
Wood You Please Stop Me Next Time
So this morning I sat down to create a panel for a paper carrier bag. Everything started out fine, I decided to create flowers using the Poppy Moments Dies. Then I pulled out the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack for my background. And that's when things took a detour. You see I got caught up in all the gorgeous wood patterns. I simply couldn't choose which one I liked best. Before I knew it the wood paper wasn't simply a background, or even an accent. With a marquetry ... VIEW POST
Embellish With A Single Star
It seems ages since I last designed a masculine card so that was my challenge this morning. I grabbed some patterned paper, a stamp set and dies and set to work. I quite liked how it was going, but in the end it was the addition of a single metal star that made me happy. COME SAIL AWAY I began with the small yacht pattern from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (DSP). After cutting a piece I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to mount it onto a layer of Whisper White ... VIEW POST
Bride & Groom Gift
I think I'm in love with the Well Written Dies. They're the ones with lots of different words that coordinate with the Well Said Stamp Set. One of the best things about these dies is that they come out of the dies really easily. What's more, unlike some other words dies I've seen, these ones are totally readable. In fact I've been playing with this set and now have a stack of words just waiting for attention. So I picked up bride & groom, and set to work. PRETTY INSIDE AND ... VIEW POST
Looking For Leaves
I'm so sorry my blog post is late today. Life and insurance rate hikes got in the way! My project was all ready to go and then the phone calls began. So without any further delay here's a hardback notebook decorated with pretty flowers and leaves. FIRST FROST FLOWERS The project all started with the First Frost Stamp Set that was carried over from the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue. On Whisper White Card I first stamped one large and two small flower images using Blushing ... VIEW POST
Well Said for #WWYS209
I read somewhere that today is International Scrapbooking Industry Day, not to be confused with National Scrapbook Day which this year is on May 4th. Still, it's a great day to announce Well Said as the featured stamp set for this week's What Will You Stamp? Challenge. As soon as I saw this set I knew I needed it for my stash. It's a red rubber stamp set containing 51 individual stamps with cling mount labels. There's individual words and a variety of phrases and longer sentiments. In ... VIEW POST
