Why is it that so many papercrafters say they find making masculine cards the most difficult? I have to admit I used to feel that way too until I developed a sort of blueprint. I’ll often look for a non-flowery paper (or embossing folder), and then stick to simple shapes. But that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Today’s masculine / gender-neutral card is a perfect example of that. After choosing a simple bamboo patterned paper and the Wildflower Path Stamp Set for my ... VIEW POST
Lovely Cards Can Be Quite Simple
After the recent stress of major computer issues I'm happy to report that things are more under control. Most of my software is on the new machine and I can now concentrate on the files. Today I plan to delete things I don't need so I can properly organise the rest. Spring-cleaning my computer has been on my long-term to-do list and it's great to be able to get started on that. Symbols Of Fortune For A Pretty Birthday
After making the decision many years ago to blog with a new project every day I've made thousands! Since I started counting I've designed 391 bookmarks, 100 boxes/bags, 224 gift card holders, 248 gift tags plus lots of other projects. Today's card is number 2365. This pretty floral design with tiny butterflies is another from the Symbols of Fortune 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. For the birthday ... VIEW POST
How Bragworthy Is Your To Do List?

I suspect it's more a case of I remember what's important to me, and not the mundane stuff. So when you're a list-maker and a papercrafter, the two worlds often collide. Especially when I get distracted from making the list because I'd rather pretty up the notepad. That's what happened today and the Bragworthy Stamp Set finished ... VIEW POST
Snowy Beauty As We Clean Up
As predicted, the winter storm that started on Friday evening continued for most of yesterday. The power went out Friday night and wasn't restored until 8.45pm on Saturday. So there was nothing for it but to hunker down inside and ride it out. During the daylight hours I managed to do a little crafting and re-organising while hubby worked on getting power from our new generator into the house. Today there's not a cloud in the sky and the sun is showing off the ridges carved into the snow by ... VIEW POST
