Yesterday evening I had fun time on a Zoom meeting with 40 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from across Canada. The meeting was organised by our Canadian Manager Dale Hampshire and members of the 2020 Canadian Demonstrator Council. As part of the event we were challenged to create a card using a sketch designed by Julie Tilman as our inspiration. As soon as I saw it I had an idea, and it involved a hot pink gerbera using Magenta Madness Card. SIMPLE LAYERS The sketch from Julie was quite ... VIEW POST
Too Early For Cinnamon Cider?
I love a new Stampin' Up! catalogue, especially a new Annual Catalogue. This is the time we get a new set of In Colors - five new colours that will be with us for just two years. They are designed to complement each other and the other 45 colours in the Stampin' Up! range. For today's project I simply couldn't resist including Cinnamon Cider. It's a lovely lighter brown with warm orange tones. I love it already and have lots of ideas for future projects. For this project I've combined this ... VIEW POST
Just So Grateful For Everything
The sky is blue and the sun is shining, and even though there's a chill in the air it looks like it's going to be a lovely day. While some of it will be spent working at the pharmacy, I'll still have time for a little crafting too. With everything else that's going on right now I always try to look for the positive. Things may not be great, but they could certainly be worse. I suppose I'm a glass half-full kind of person, grateful for everything that comes my way. ORNATE GARDEN ... VIEW POST
Goodbye Glimmer Paper
One of the Stampin' Up! products that I know I will miss is their Glimmer Paper. All the current Glimmer Paper colours are on the Retiring List and now only available while stocks last. It's one of those things that I don't use a lot of but a little can definitely add a wow factor to a project. Today's #simplestamping card is a case in point... CHEERFUL DAISIES This project all started with that cheerful daisy design from the Ornate Garden 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST
Making A Pretty Notepad For Everything
I feel that with spring taking its time to get going I might be obsessing a little over my floral papers. Stampin' Up! have lots of lovely Designer Series Paper (DSP) but right now I'm in love with the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP. So when I was looking for a bright and cheerful pattern to decorate a notepad it was inevitable that I ended up there. The "for everything"' sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. It just goes to show if you think outside the box it's a very versatile ... VIEW POST
A Favour For All You Do
Although it's Easter weekend most people will be staying at home rather than visiting others. I say most, because some people are still working in essential services, whether that's health and social care, the emergency services, trucking or in stores that remain open for essential supplies. Thank you to everyone who continues to stay home, please don't underestimate the importance of the part you play. The fewer people who go out, and the less time you spend there, the more likely we are to ... VIEW POST
