Just in case you were wondering... it’s still 134 days until Christmas. I’ve made a couple of cards already, but there’s still so much summer and autumn crafting left to do. However if the colour scheme on today’s card is anything to go by, I’m pretty sure that Christmas is on my mind. This week's simple Sunday project was created using the Courage & Faith Stamp Set. It features a favourite floral image from the set, together with a Bible quotation from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, all in red and ... VIEW POST
Custom Coloured Cardstock
OK I admit it. I may be slightly addicted to the Courage & Faith Stamp Set. And possibly the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends too. Today’s project was definitely inspired by a bookmark and thank you card I’ve made over the past month. In my defence, the leafy images are really simple to colour and I had spare pieces left over from the earlier card that I didn’t want to waste. But the real highlight of this project is something you might not have considered… creating your own custom coloured ... VIEW POST
Courage & Faith
I don’t know where the time is going but I think I’m going to run out of month before I run out of things I need to get done. Sadly not all of them are fun tasks but I have a strategy… I’ll use the nice ones to reward myself for doing the boring and less enjoyable jobs. Of course it would probably help if I set a timer to stop myself spending all day on a ‘reward’. It’s tough though when I have new stamp sets like Courage & Faith to play with! COURAGE WITH COLOUR This project ... VIEW POST
Wildflower Path Ending
It never fails to happen that as I‘m using a stamp set or dies I discover something new. Usually it’s a good thing, but not always. You see right now I’m revisiting some products that are being retired by Stampin’ Up! It’s frustrating to realise that I’ve had a product for a while and not explored its full potential. Today I discovered small flowers and leaves in the Wildflower Path Stamp Set. I’d originally bought it for the Ralph Waldo Emerson quotation and completely overlooked these stamps ... VIEW POST
Stylish Shapes
Last November I completed my annual challenge to design and create 24 cards in 24 hours. It should have happened on World Card Making Day but was delayed due to Hurricane Fiona. Since then I’ve been bringing you the cards I made and providing instructions for your own personal use. Unfortunately some of my posts had to be delayed as products I used became temporarily ‘not orderable’. This is what happened with today’s birthday card featuring the Stepping Stones Stamp Set and the now back in ... VIEW POST
Ready To Ride Again
Over weekend I brought you two projects, a card and a gift tag where each one used a sentiment-only stamp set to complement an image-only set. I love the freedom these sets give me to mix and match without feeling guilty. Today I have a third sentiment-only stamp set but my images are not stamped. Instead I simply had to take advantage of one of the gorgeous glossy patterns in the Ready To Ride 12” x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). You'll probably notice I’m a little bit ...
