Yesterday I spent a few hours in my studio pulling out all the Stampin' Up! products that are retiring. My plan is, while a product remains available for you to buy, I'll continue to make projects for my blog using it. Over the coming weeks you'll still see new projects, but I'll also add links to some older ones. That way you can get one final overview of a particular stamp set or product while you still have the opportunity to get it. Today's project uses 3 retiring products. The Wood ... VIEW POST
Definitely Not Balloon Weather
We're halfway through a big storm and have already lost power once. Yesterday's torrential rain has ended and this morning we have beautiful sunny blue skies. Unfortunately the wind has been building steadily overnight and continues to strengthen. It's definitely not balloon weather, so why was that what I wanted on my project today? SIMPLE STYLE I began with a piece of Very Vanilla Card 2" x 3-1/2". I then found a strip of this blue design from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series ... VIEW POST
Looking for a tropical escape
Oh my goodness it's cold here in Nova Scotia! Currently minus 11 but with the wind it's feeling like minus 18! We had more snow overnight so I'll be out shovelling again later. Oh how I wish I was still enjoying my tropical escape in Florida. With winter conditions arriving so early this year, spring seems a lifetime away. Its a good job I can bring some pretty flowers into my craft room with Designer Series Paper. Today's project is a birthday card created as part of my personal ... VIEW POST
Under The Mistletoe Birthday Card
Today my plan was to create a card using the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (DSP). I would have a large piece of the DSP with some ribbon along the bottom edge. Then I'd add a large(ish) sentiment along the bottom of the card base. Well needless to say my project didn't quite turn out that way. The DSP and ribbon conspired against me and I ended up with something else entirely for today's simple Sunday project. BACK TO BASICS The base for this card is a piece of Sahara ... VIEW POST
Scrappy Day Pearlised Leaves
As someone who crafts every day, I need to be able to find things quickly. One of the key things for me is keeping my scraps organised and easily accessible. I have a number of ways that I do that, but more importantly I make a conscious effort to use them. Today's project is chock full of scraps, including some of the pearlised leaves I created a few days ago. TAG BASE My Night of Navy tag base started out as a piece of card from my card scraps tin. I only needed to trim 1/4" off the ... VIEW POST
Cowboy Boots and Country Livin’
This morning when I sat down to create today's project my mind was a complete blank. As I waited for some kind of inspiration I decided I'd make a birthday card. Still nothing came to me, so I started looking through some papercraft challenge e-mails that had come through over the past couple of days, and I settled on one from Just Add Ink. The sketch kickstarted my creative process, and as I pulled out the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set I spotted Country Livin'. It was settled, my ... VIEW POST
