Today's project is another one of those happy accidents that often happens as I'm clearing up after finishing a project. There'll be scraps of card and paper on the desk and sometimes a stamp set or dies and I'll just begin to play. This time it was a piece die-cut from Basic Black Card and a tiny black and white strip of DSP that got me started. Before I knew it I'd created a very striking masculine / gender neutral birthday gift tag. WHITE ON BLACK So the piece that started ... VIEW POST
This Week’s Simple Sunday Tip
Whether you're leaving a tip for a server, showing appreciation to the healthcare worker giving you your vaccine, or just want to say thank you, today's simple Sunday project may be just what you need. This card came about as I was looking for ways to use up some smaller pieces of patterned paper. I'd made a couple of projects using the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper (DSP) and was concerned about the growing pile of leftovers. So I pulled out a small card and envelope from the ... Special Jacket & Tie For A Special Occasion
I'm always on the lookout for stamp sets and dies that I can use on masculine or gender neutral projects. So it's hardly surprising that I knew I'd have to get the Handsomely Suited suite. The Handsomely Suited Stamp Set and coordinating Suit & Tie Dies are amazing and I've had lots of fun with them. For the most part I've paired these with the Well Suited Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is part of the suite, or the In Good Taste DSP. Both contain patterns that are simply perfect for ... Stamping Over Designer Series Paper
For the past seven years I've been a volunteer writer for the Stampin' Up! Canadian Demonstrator e-magazine called Inspiration Canada. This monthly magazine is sent to every Canadian Demonstrator and contains a mixture of inspiration and information. This month we celebrate our 100th edition and I worked out I've contributed over 80 articles since I joined the team. Recently I've been focusing on #simplestamping with ideas that encourage new stampers and cardmakers to have a go. Using just ... VIEW POST
Snail Dies But Without The Snail
As you might expect the Snailed It Stamp Set contains a number of snail images and the Snail Dies coordinate with them. But there's also some other dies in the set that I love by themselves. One of them is the large postage stamp die and that features prominently on today's project. Avoiding the snail images entirely, I also chose the toadstools to brighten up this very simple birthday card layout. PAPER TOLE TOADSTOOLS I began this project with the toadstool image and a Tuxedo Black ... VIEW POST
Celebrate A Special Life With A Photo Album
As I continue to enjoy precious time with my new granddaughters it seemed appropriate to bring you a new photo album project. While being able to see photos electronically is nice, there's something special about actually having them printed. Maybe it's because you don't have to be sitting at a device to see them. For me though it's that printed photos reflect life events that are important to those involved. TREASURES OF LIFE I began today's project with a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Very ... VIEW POST
