When I first saw the new Mini Catalogue I knew it was going to be a hit and unfortunately some products sold out quite quickly. Thankfully though most will be back into stock in the next couple of weeks. I always try to avoid showing you projects using products that you can’t order. After all no one wants to fall in love with something only to find you can’t buy it. So that’s why I’ve waited until now to show you this pretty wreath project using the Paper Florist Dies. Gold Start For Autumn
Although we’ve had some scorching weather recently it’s obvious that autumn is just around the corner. So as I was looking at the Paper Florist Dies I began to think of ways to use them for the new season. I started by pulling out some ink pads in autumn shades and then remembered the Gold Distressed 12” x 12” Specialty Paper. I love the look of this paper but wondered whether it was possible to give it a hint of autumn colour. There was only one way to find out! DISTRESSED GOLD PAPER I ... VIEW POST
Florist Sunflower Surprise
I’m from England and not used to this hot weather! Not that I’m complaining, I’d rather be hot than cold. It’s funny that when we moved to Canada some people asked if we’d have snow most of the year! We are fortunate though that our little patch of Nova Scotia is on top of a hill looking out over the Cobequid Bay and the breeze off the water is sublime. Today’s scenic project using the Paper Florist Dies is inspired by the fields I pass on the way into town. I began with a pale blue 3" x 3" ... VIEW POST
Florist Wannabe
Have you seen the Paper Florist Dies yet? They’re what I refer to as a sleeper product, one that’s easily overlooked. This is because they’re a stand-alone item, and not linked to a specific stamp set. Even I missed it on page 165 of the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue the first few times I looked through it. The big thing for me about these dies is the versatility of mixing and matching the various shapes. Today’s project came about after I found a random 1” circle magnet on my ... VIEW POST
Florist Congratulations
A few days ago I had great fun jazzing up some Post-It® Notes using some of the Paper Florist Dies. This amazing set doesn’t coordinate with any stamp sets, so it could very easily be overlooked in the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue. There’s 18 dies in the set and I’m having a lot of fun discovering all the flower shapes I can create with them. Today’s elegant congratulations card project is very different as I set out to make a mainly white card with just a touch of silver. FLAT ... VIEW POST
Another Florist Creation
I realised recently that when cutting dies coordinate with a stamp set it’s easy to notice them. They’re the ones that you’ll find showcased in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue and on social media. But what about those that don’t have a coordinating stamp set, like the Paper Florist Dies? There’s samples for them too, but somehow they’re often overlooked. However I knew I had to get my hands on them, as I’m guaranteed not to kill these flowers. So for today’s project there’s no stamping, just bright ... VIEW POST
