After yesterday's very busy Post-It® Note project I decided to do something simpler today. In fact, using scraps from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack it turned out even simpler than I'd imagined. My plan to include a sneak peek of a new product from the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue was shelved so you'll have to come back tomorrow to see that. For now though, here's something bright and cheerful. VARIED VASES The project began with the retiring Varied ... VIEW POST
Staying Here And Crafting With Poppies
I have a very full day ahead of me so my project will be short and sweet. I decided today I needed a new Post-It® Note holder. So with a little help from some pretty poppies, this what what I came up with SIMPLE BASE I began by making the simple base for the 3" x 3" Post-It Note pad using Poppy Parade Card. To do this I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the card to 3-1/4" x 7-1/8". Next with the long side at the top I scored the card at 4" and 4-1/2". Then I folded it along the scored ... VIEW POST
Rediscovering the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set
As we start to think ahead to the Stampin' Up! 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue, I begin to wonder what will be retired. Looking through the current catalogue I come across products that I've got but haven't used in quite a while and it inspires me to show them some love. Today I pulled out the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set to make a pretty thank you gift tag. SHAPED TAG BASE I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut a 3" x 6" piece of Whisper White Card. Then with the long side at the top I ... VIEW POST
Going Back To Picking Poppies
Sometimes life gets hectic and I find myself needing to make a card in a hurry. That's what happened today but with some pretty poppies as my starting point this project came together really quickly. PRETTY POPPIES PAPER There's something about the colours in this pretty poppies paper that just keeps drawing me in. It's one of 12 double-sided designs in the Peaceful Poppies 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Today I started by cutting a 6" x 6" square. Then I cut a ... VIEW POST
Bright And Cheery Birthday
After my flowery thank you card a couple of days ago I thought it was time for a simpler card. So today's project pairs new Designer Series Papers (DSP) with an older but still available stamp set. It might be snowing again outside inside it's bright and cheerful. BRIGHT PATTERN My project began with the argyle / harlequin design from the Country Club 12" x 12" DSP pack. Looking at the colours in the design I decided to use Mint Macaron as my coordinating colour. So I began by ... VIEW POST
Using Up Some Poppy Pieces
At the beginning of the year I created a welcome plaque as my Painted Poppies sneak peek project. I loved the results and I know many of you did too. As so often happens I didn't actually use all the poppy images I painted and as a result I left the unused ones in the stamp case. Then when I opened the stamp set yesterday to create another poppy project I rediscovered the images and as a happy consequence I ended up with this card. POPPY PAPER? With my main images already completed I ... VIEW POST
