Today's Simple Sunday project came about as I realised that every time I made a gift tag it involved at least one punch (and often more). It made me wonder if I could make a tag using absolutely no punches at all. So with the retiring Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements as my starting point I set to work. COPPER STAR I began with the large copper star and with a few dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) attached it to a piece of Blueberry Bushel Card. Then using my Paper Snips I cut ... VIEW POST
Bottle? Decorate Instead Of Wrap
Has it ever occurred to you that not everything you gift has to be wrapped? In fact I think sometimes it's nicer to think in terms of decorating a gift rather than wrapping. Bottles are a case in point. Traditionally bottles are placed in a 'bottle bag', or wrapped in a not very effective disguise. Then when they're gifted the wrapping is removed and the plain bottle appears on the table. But if you wrap the label instead, the bottle stays decorated. How much nicer is that! Especially since ... Gift Card As A Planned Gift
I love creating gift card holders, they're so much nicer to give than the things the stores offer when you by the gift cards. Sometimes a gift card is a panic buy, or sometimes it's exactly what the person has asked for. Either way I always dress them up so they never look like an afterthought. This gift card holder is a little different though as I've designed it to be hung on the tree or used as a tag on another gift. NO PEEKING! I began my project with the elf and attached "no ... A Snowman Arms Observation
Sometimes when I'm crafting things don't always go according to plan, or I simply get distracted. That's what happened today as I sat down to create an autumn project. To be honest I'm not even sure how it happened. One minute I'm working on a sunflower and the next my desk is covered in snowmen. Then as I was using my Snowman Builder Punch for the first time I began to consider the issue of snowman arms. As you do. Here's what I finally ended up with today... SNOWY TAG This tag ... VIEW POST
A Christmas Bag For My Classes
With the storm fast approaching and lots to do here at home my blog post will be short but sweet. And when I say sweet, I think the #Elfie Stamp Set really fits the bill. Today I decided to show you a Christmas bag that I decorated for one of my recent papercraft classes. I loved the image and the "Santa's Workshop" sentiment seemed just the thing for everyone to take their creations home in. ELFIE'S ENVIRONMENT I began with a piece of Whisper White Card and used Tuxedo Black ink to ... VIEW POST
No Peeking, Oh Go On Then
Although I've had new products for a while, I've been holding off showing any sneak peeks until today. That's because I hate to get you all excited about something you can't yet buy. But now it's only 2 weeks until the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue goes live, and I think you can cope. So for my first sneak peek I've created a fun gift tag with a "no peeking" sentiment. NO PEEKING ELFIE #Elfie is the name of the new stamp set, and in my studio it's also the name of this guy. I ... VIEW POST
