It’s no secret that I’m happy to mix and match images and sentiments from different stamp sets. In fact I sometimes buy a set precisely because I see a different use for some of the stamps. This was definitely the case with the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set in the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue. With four different tree images included, it’s a very useful set. I’m delighted Peaceful Deer has been carried over to the new Annual Catalogue, and inked it up again for today’s simple Sunday card ... VIEW POST

Tailor Made Ahead Of Time
How early is too early to make a start on this year’s Christmas crafting? Yesterday’s blog post featured a pretty but simple Christmas card using the retiring Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and coordinating So Many Snowflakes Dies. Today I wanted to remind you about the Tidings of Christmas 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) that’s also being retired. This DSP has lots of patterns that can be used for other occasions too. In fact I included two of these on this tag created with the Tailor Made Tags ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Deer Encircled In Beauty
One week today it will be Christmas Day and the final rush has begun. No matter how well you plan there's always those last minute jobs that simply can't be done earlier. Like buying fresh fruit and vegetables for Christmas dinner. But then there's the jobs that have been on your list since last Christmas, like making sure you have enough gift tags for the gifts. Or some extra cards to give. Today's project is one of my final Christmas cards for the year and uses the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set ... VIEW POST
After The Storm But No Deer In Sight
Well following yesterday's confusion over the blog hop which isn't actually until next week, thankfully my day improved. If you can overlook the fact that my blog was 5 hours late being published, it was quite productive really. Today I need to double-check all the entries in my diary for December just to make sure I haven't made any other silly errors. Once that's done I want to plan out how I'm going to make it to the end of my to do list before running out of month. For today's project I ... VIEW POST
Deer Punch And Stamps Make The Cut
There's not much left of November and we're edging closer to the end of the Stampin' Up! July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue. That inevitably means saying goodbye to the majority of those products, but thankfully not all. Some of my favourites, like the Happy Holly-Days and Angels of Peace Stamp Sets are sadly retiring. However others like the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and the coordinating Deer Builder Punch are staying. So to celebrate I made a quick bookmark with the help of a sentiment ... VIEW POST
Deer In The Garden Make Me Happy
Now that the days are getting shorter it definitely feels like the garden is starting to wind down. We've been leaving some of our windfall apples on the ground and they regularly attract the deer. At this time of year I love seeing the velvet covered antlers as the small group visits the tree closest to the house. There's something very calming about seeing the wildlife in the garden just being themselves. It certainly sets me up for a happy start to the day. So when I was working on my ... VIEW POST
