I’m one of those stampers who don’t mind rubber or photopolymer stamps. What is more important to me is the quality. Both types of stamps have their benefits and shortcomings. I particularly like photopolymer stamps as they make it really easy to get the placement just right. I also like that I can bend or move parts of some stamps to suit my purpose. However this second ability caught me out today. So that meant stamping the deer a second time, but the end result was worth it I ... VIEW POST
Label Me Fancy Punch Tip
Some time ago I posted a video with a tip for using just the small hole part of the Label Me Fancy Punch. I’ve had lots of feedback about that tip from paper-crafters who found it really useful. However it was only as I was creating today’s simple Sunday project that another helpful tip for that punch popped into my head. What’s most surprising is that it’s very similar to a tip I’ve already posted for the Very Best Trio Punch. Sometimes it’s the most obvious solutions that escape us. LABEL ... VIEW POST
Velvet Deer
My regular readers will know that I love experimenting with my craft supplies. Today my plan was to use another of the products that will be retiring soon; Snowy White Velvet Sheets. I’m not sure exactly how it happened but in the end the velvet featured quite heavily in the design. By the time I was done it had been die-cut, punched, and folded, stamped on, and coloured! Using the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and coordinating Deer Builder Punch this is the final result. I particularly love the ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Evening’s Work
While I love creating projects every day for my blog it’s not without its challenges. Sometimes I’ll sit at my desk and all that’s rolling round my brain are dust bunnies. So when that happens what do I do? Well, I start something. Anything. I might cut and prepare some card bases. Or I may stamp some images and start colouring. Even tidying my craft supplies works. Last night I spent a peaceful evening simply cutting images from my patterned paper stash. Then an idea magically popped into my ... VIEW POST
Painted Christmas Revisited
While the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue gives us products for a full year, the same is not true of their Mini Catalogues. I love that these ‘Minis’ give me additional seasonal goodies but sometimes I feel that 6 months is not enough. Admittedly some items get carried over, however that rarely happens for the paper packs. This year though I get a second chance with the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). I especially love this pine cones pattern and couldn’t wait to use it again on a ... VIEW POST
Saddest Tree On The Lot
So here we are under an extreme heat warning for the next 3 days. Right now I have lots of windows open to get some relatively cooler air into the house. My plan is to get all the necessary chores done before 10am. Then I’ll shut the windows and draw the curtains to keep out the heat as it climbs. From there I intend to relax in my craft studio designing new projects for Christmas. But first I couldn’t resist bringing you this gift tag featuring Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree. FREE TREE LOT ... VIEW POST
