Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me winter is not far away. It was much colder, and the waves of heavy rain were studded with ice pellets. The very windy weather also made for difficult driving conditions and I was glad to make it home in one piece. This morning is better with bright sunshine melting the ice on the deck, and we have double-digit temperatures forecast for later in the week. Still, it won't be long before ice and snow becomes the norm. So today I decided to make ... VIEW POST
Autumnal colours for autumnal weather
For today's project the distinctly autumnal feel of this morning's weather inspired my colour choices. But rather than go with a tried and trusted combination I decided to try something new. So after choosing Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Rococo Rose and Old Olive, I set to work. AUTUMNAL WREATH I began my autumnal card with the large wreath image from the Arrange A Wreath Stamp Set. Put A Partridge In A Pear Wreath
We're now into the second half of the year and December will be here before we know it. So I've resolved to make a few Christmas projects every week to save myself some stress. So I wonder if it's simply a coincidence then that later this afternoon Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will get their first look at the new Mini Catalogue. This one used to be called the 'Holiday Catalogue' in the US and Canada, and the 'Autumn/Winter' in Europe and I think it was 'Spring/Summer' in the South Pacific market. ... VIEW POST
From A Wreath To Summer Gift Tag
Summer has arrived and while I'm really enjoying the hot sunny weather, sometimes it's a little too hot. When that happens I head to my craft studio for some cool relaxation. I'm still working my way through my new Stampin' Up! products and today my focus was on the Wreath Builder Dies. Just to keep things interesting I decided to use them to create a pretty gift tag. SUMMER FLOWERS I began my project by die-cutting a whole pile of pieces. From Granny Apple Green Card I cut the ... VIEW POST
