It's the last Thursday in the month and that means another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month we're showcasing alternate projects using the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit "Winter Gifts". There was so much in the box this month as you'd expect with a kit designed to make 24 large gift tags. However my alternate projects are ideas for using the pieces to make something else. STAG AND STARLIGHT First up I wanted to make something featuring the striking silver stag from the ... VIEW POST
Getting Started With A Decoration
Last night I went to bed late with no idea what I was going to make for today's blog project. By the time I awoke this morning an idea for a pretty rosette decoration had magically popped into my head. A DECORATION FROM SCRAPS I began with a scrap of the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was 1-1/2" x 11-3/4". Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool I carefully scored the DSP at 1/2" and then every 1/2" after that to the end. Then I flipped the paper over and scored it ... VIEW POST
Shake It Up With Ice Stampin’ Glitter
Today I started out to make a shaker gift tag with Ice Stampin' Glitter. I'm really happy with the results but now I don't know If I've made a tag or a decor piece. Maybe I should let you decide... FEELS LIKE FROST This tag all started when I found a small scrap of paper from the Feels Like Frost 6"x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). To make a shaker tag I had to create a frame and decided on the Stitched Rectangles Dies for that. Making the most of what I had, I found the ... VIEW POST
Frosted Frames With Added Sparkle
Once again another month has flown by and I'm seriously behind in my craft fair preparations. My first event is in less than four weeks and I have a huge amount of things I want to get done before then. Christmas cards are high on that list, and today I created this one with the Frosted Foliage Stamp Set and coordinating Frosted Frames Dies. FROSTED FRAMES I began my project by cutting out the foliage and snowflake layer from Shimmery White Card using the large die from the Frosted ... VIEW POST
Timeless Tidings Project Kit Is Back!
It's not even 7 am on December 1st and I'm already running behind! So much to do so little time. Today's project is a very quick one using the Timeless Tidings Project Kit. I was going to post this later in the month but to be honest the kit might have sold out by then. The Timeless Tidings Project Kit has been extremely popular and has just come back into stock after being on backorder for a while. It contains enough supplies for 20 cards (5 each of 4 designs) plus 20 envelopes edged in ... VIEW POST
Starlight Thinlits
I've not been feeling at all well for the past couple of days, but Christmas continues to get ever closer. So I decided to keep things pretty simple for today's project. With the Star of Light Stamp Set and coordinating Starlight Thinlits I came up with this card. SIMPLE CARD BASE I began with a piece of Blueberry Bushel Card, cut and scored using my Stampin' Trimmer. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the card base. Next I ... VIEW POST
