Anyone else excited by retirement? Today's the day that we find out which Stampin' Up! products are being discontinued. However we must wait just a little longer as the Retiring List won't be revealed until 4pm Atlantic (1pm MT). At the same time, Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will get their first look at the new 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue. Something that definitely won’t be in the new catalogue are the 2020/22 In Colors. So before they’re completely sold out here’s one final card project using all ... VIEW POST
Another Special Moments Idea
We all have a friend who’s completely daft. Sometimes more than one. They’re the one who keeps you laughing with their ideas and antics. Who pull silly faces and say silly things, and without whom life would be very boring indeed. So when I was asked to create a cover for a pocket photo album this was my brief. I found the perfect sentiment in the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Special Moments and, with the addition of an image from Senior Years, this is what ... VIEW POST
Lighthearted Lines For A Senior Moment
One of the fun things about collecting stamp sets is being able to mix and match them. Some sets like Lighthearted Lines only contains sentiments, so if I want an image I have no option than to look elsewhere. But other times I find fun new combinations as I combine older sets with newer ones. Today's simple Sunday card project is a case in point. Lighthearted Lines has some great fun sentiments but one in particular stood out and I knew exactly where to find an appropriate image. So out ... VIEW POST
Velveteen Paper May Be Retired
It's less than a week before Stampin' Up! announces which products will be retiring from the 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue. I try not to get to hung up about it as it means there's new products coming. Still, I have a few personal predictions and today's project features one of those, Color Velveteen Paper. The Color Velveteen Paper has a beautifully soft textured surface and it cuts just like ordinary card. I love it, but I haven't seen a whole lot of projects using it so that's why I suspect ... Senior Years Full Of Fun Today
After making a lot of cards over the weekend it was nice to do something else today. Making 24 cards using lots of different products and techniques reminded me of some of my favourites. Some things I've not used in a while and some I still didn't have a chance to use. So today to put that right I pulled out the Senior Years Stamp Set. The images and sentiments are such fun and a joy to colour. STAMPARATUS I began today's project with my basic bookmark base. This is a 2" x 5-1/2" ... VIEW POST
Paper Tole or Paper Piecing, it’s still fun
Crafting of any kind can become expensive and I'm always looking for ways to use my products rater than wasting them. That means when I have scraps of Designer Series Paper (DSP) I keep them in their original pack along with the full sheets. I must admit that I keep tiny pieces, I mean, really tiny. After all I never know when I'll need that small piece for a project. Today was one of those days when my tiny scraps of DSP came into their own as I created a pretty bookmark. Whether you call ...
